Barton’s Sonora shop installed these white doors from Carriage House Door Company. The arch was custom designed to match the opening, carrying the shape of the surrounding exterior into the garage door design.
An arch made for the opening
The photos show the curved top edge above a divided window row. Diagonal trim and dark decorative handles and hinges complete the carriage-house appearance. A wider view shows the coordinated doors together, while closer views make the arch and window layout easier to compare.
Planning a custom carriage-house door
The opening’s shape is a central part of this project. For a similar design, photos of the exterior and a site measurement help establish the arch, proportions, and available room for the door. Window layout, finish, and decorative hardware can then be considered together.
